Motorola launched three new phones earlier today at an event in China: the Razr 2022, X30 Pro and S30 Pro. The foldable scope of the latest Razr device earned much attention, whereas other models with class-leading specs received less attention.
Motorola X30 Pro
The first rollout of a mobile phone with a 200MP motorized camera on the market. Now equipped with Samsung’s individual sensor with f/1.95 aperture and 16-in-1 pixel binning, the X30 Pro has the ability to capture with up to 2.56µm. In addition, it can capture neighboring pixels in traditional 12.5MP resolutions up to 50MP or even at 8K resolution at 30fps. The secondary cam also shines, shooting up to 8K video at 30 frames per second.
The selfie camera contains an Omnivision OV60a sensor and has a 60MP size. There are two rear cameras, one is a 50MP ultrawide module while the third cutout is reserved for a 12MF Sony IMX637-sensor with 2x optical zoom also included. Finally, there’s a 50MP ultrawide sensor on the back of the phone for capturing scenes in 4K UHD and 10% slo-mo video.
The Motorola X30 Pro boasts a curved 6.67-inch OLED with FHD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate that can produce up to 1,200 nits of peak brightness. The device is capable of producing HDR10+ pictures. It also features an integrated fingerprint scanner.
The new Moto X30 Pro is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset alongside 8/12GB RAM and 128/256 or 512GB storage. There is also a 4,610 mAh battery that can charge up to its full potential in 19 minutes with your wireless charger. It features Android 12 and MyUI 4.0 UI. Motorola X30 Pro is available in black or white and starts at 3,699 yuan for the 8/128GB version and goes up to 4,699 yuan for the 12/512GB model.
Motorola S30 Pro
Motorola S30 Pro is a Snapdragon 888+ equipped phone with 6.55” OLED and 144Hz refresh rate. It boasts with a 50MP main camera (Omnivision OV50A) and features an ultrawide 13MP lens and 2MP depth sensor. There’s 32MP selfie shooter housed inside a punch hold cutout on the front.
The S30 Pro comes with Android 12 and MyUI 4.0 and includes a power-packed 4,400 mAh battery with 68W fast charge support. The phone comes in black and blue colors, the latter of which features a faux leather finish.
Motorola’s new inexpensive smartphone, the Moto S30 Pro, starts at 1,999 yuan ($326) and goes up to 2,899 yuan for the highest model. There is a limited time sale running today.
