A report came out last week that shed some light on Samsung’s choice of a front-facing camera for its Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ smartphone models. Even though the news for the device in question was generally positive, with the rumour stating that it would come with an upgraded front-facing camera, this cannot be said for the device’s telephoto camera.
The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ are expected to use the same 10 MP telephoto camera as the Galaxy S22 and S22+, the same source concluded.
For the Galaxy S23 Ultra, the situation is unclear, but for the non-Ultra S flagships, it looks as if they will remain the same for another year. Even if this is true right now, Samsung could still change its plans before the release of the Galaxy S23 family, so it’s important to keep that in mind. This is just an unconfirmed rumour at this point, and we’re still months away from the launch of these new models.
We hope that if this is true, the Korean company will release other improvements as well as the higher-res selfie camera on the S23 and S23+. In 2022, we got lots of upgrades to older phones, but we definitely live in a more exciting period of mobile, so we’re looking forward to a lot more exciting things in 2023.
