Samsung releases a new fancier version of the Z Fold every year, exclusively for China Telecom. For the first time ever, they are also releasing a W Flip model, and it’s just like old flip phones from the last century.
The hardware on the Samsung W23 is the same as on the Galaxy Z Fold4, but it is a premium device and it has 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage from day one.
The W Series is about looks first and foremost. This is a statement-making phone that comes in black and gold exclusively. The rear panel of the phone is black ceramic, while the aluminum hinge has a beautiful new coat of paint to match your phone. Even the S Pen comes in black and gold.
The phone comes in an array of colors and boasts a variety of unique color schemes. One of the more popular themes takes inspiration from porcelain from the Song Dynasty.
To pre-order Samsung’s W23 cost CNY 16,000, you can visit the company’s website and prepay for it. The first CNY 1,000 will get you a spot in line to order one when it becomes available early.
The Samsung W23 Flip is a direct successor to the Galaxy Z Flip4. Compared to the previous model, it comes with more RAM and storage. However, the device’s design looks almost identical to its predecessor — reminiscent of traditional W-series devices.
While the design is fairly similar, there are a few differences between this model and the Bespoke. This one has a glass back panel instead of ceramic, and it’s also cheaper.
