It’s been a long time since HTC released a flagship phone, so it’s unlikely many of you are holding your breath as HTC unveils its next device. There had been a plan to launch the handset in April, but it seems like it has been delayed.
According to HTC, the delay was caused by COVID-19 supply-chain issues, so HTC hasn’t abandoned the project. Many observers predict that the phone will have a unique appeal, much like the Exodus 1 and Exodus 1s smartphones, both of which focused on blockchain technology.
In this case, HTC’s flagship is likely to be connected in some way to the company’s Vive Flow virtual reality headset and may even run AR applications itself. HTC has taken another shot at this and this time it’s betting on the growing metaverse trend as one of their key selling points.
