When you look at the OnePlus Nord 2 review, you’ll see that it’s a great budget device. With its latest flagship phones, OnePlus has moved away from the ‘flagship killer’ niche and has started a whole new “Nord” series of affordable handsets, which may be the next chapter of the story.
The OnePlus 3 moniker has reportedly been spotted on the company’s official website, according to Indian tipster Mukul Sharma. Here’s a tweet:
There is no information about this particular tipper or his track record, so it remains to be seen how much weight to give the news. OnePlus did test a phone code-named Meili in India in the past few months, but nothing was confirmed.
In addition, there have been leaks about the Nord 3 for months. One of the reliable tipsters, Digital Chat Station, also mentions some of its specs. Fast charging is rumoured to be one of the phone’s most impressive features. The Nord 3 is rumoured to come with a 150W charger.
A 6.7-inch Full HD display, the same IMX766 camera sensor as its predecessor, and the same 4,500mAh battery round out the list of rumoured specifications.
According to rumours, the selfie camera will be moved to the centre of the screen from the left, along with a reduction in pixel count from 32 MP to 16 MP in the Nord 3.
OnePlus’ new budget smartphone is still unknown in terms of pricing and availability, however, judging by its predecessor, the Nord 2, it may be priced at around 500 euros when it launches in Europe.
