Samsung has unveiled two new features in a new update for Samsung’s Expert RAW camera app.
First, we will introduce the Custom Preset feature, which allows users to save their customized camera settings for re-use. Secondly, the Save Format menu allows users to save the photos they have taken with Expert RAW in either RAW or JPEG format. Unfortunately, photos are currently stored in both formats, which could be annoying.

Samsung also announced that Expert RAW had been delayed for the Galaxy Note20 Ultra, Galaxy S20 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Fold2.
Due to the need for one full camera system update, Expert RAW support was supposed to come to these smartphones in H1 2022. However, by the end of September, Samsung plans to release Expert RAW for these devices.
Despite not yet providing an exact date for Samsung’s plan to release Expert RAW for the S20 Ultra, Note20 Ultra, and Fold2, the company confirmed that telephoto lenses won’t be supported on the S20 Ultra.
The Galaxy S20 Ultra’s 10x Hybrid Optic telephoto lens couldn’t output the images in Bayer RAW, based on Expert RAW’s Computational RAW.
