The Poco X5 was recently seen in the hands of a prominent sports star, sparking rumours of its upcoming release. Adding fuel to the fire, a reputable European retailer listed the device as “coming soon” and revealed almost all of its specifications.
The Xiaomi Poco X5 Pro boasts a large and impressive 6.67″ AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels. While the retailer-provided specs sheet doesn’t mention the refresh rate, it is speculated that the device will feature a 120Hz refresh rate, similar to the Poco X4 Pro. This high refresh rate will offer a smooth and seamless visual experience, making the Poco X5 Pro a great device for watching videos and gaming.
The Xiaomi Poco X5 Pro is powered by the powerful Snapdragon 778G processor, which is considered a significant upgrade over the 695 processor found in the X4 Pro. The device comes in two different memory configurations: 6GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, both of which provide ample space for storing all of your apps, photos, and videos. The device also features a microSD card slot option, allowing you to expand your storage capacity further. It runs on the latest Android 12 operating system, with MIUI 14 on top, providing a sleek and user-friendly interface.
The Xiaomi Poco X5 Pro features a main camera with a 108MP sensor, along with an f/1.9 aperture, similar to the one found on last year’s model. The device now allows 4K video recording at 30fps, providing users with high-quality video capturing capabilities. The device also boasts an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera, providing users with versatile photography options. On the front is a 16MP selfie camera, allowing users to take beautiful and high-resolution self-portraits.
The Xiaomi Poco X5 Pro comes with a large 5,000mAh battery and 67W wired-only charging capabilities, the same as its predecessor, the Poco X4. The device also features Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front, providing extra durability and protection from scratches and drops. Additionally, it has an IP68 rating, making it resistant to dust and water and suitable for outdoor use. Compared to the Poco X4 model, many features are almost identical.
