Design and Display

The Sharp Aquos Zero 2 had a modern and sleek design, with dimensions of 158 x 74 x 8.8 mm and a weight of 141 g. The phone’s slim profile made it easy to handle and comfortable to use for extended periods. The phone supported a Nano-SIM card, a small SIM card commonly used in modern smartphones. The phone was rated IP68 dust and water-resistant, which meant it could withstand being submerged in up to 1.5m of water for 30 minutes.

The phone had a large 6.4-inch OLED display with 1B colours and a 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution. The display also supported HDR10 and Dolby Vision, which made for a high-quality viewing experience. The display had a 240Hz refresh rate, making scrolling through the phone’s menus and apps smooth and responsive.

To protect the phone’s screen from damage, the Sharp Aquos Zero 2 was equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass 6, a tough and durable type of glass resistant to scratches and impacts.

Processor

The Sharp Aquos Zero 2 ran on the Android 10 operating system, the latest version of the popular mobile operating system at the time of the phone’s release. Android 10 offered a range of features and improvements over previous versions, such as improved privacy controls, better support for foldable devices, and enhanced gesture navigation.

Under the hood, the phone was powered by a Qualcomm SM8150 Snapdragon 855 chipset, a high-end mobile processor based on a 7nm manufacturing process. The chipset could deliver excellent performance, making the Sharp Aquos Zero 2 suitable for demanding gaming and video editing tasks.

The phone featured an octa-core CPU consisting of one 2.84 GHz Kryo 485 core, three 2.42 GHz Kryo 485 cores, and four 1.78 GHz Kryo 485 cores. This CPU configuration balanced performance and power efficiency, allowing the phone to deliver smooth and responsive performance while conserving battery life.

The phone’s graphics processing was handled by an Adreno 640 GPU, a high-end graphics processor capable of delivering excellent visuals and smooth gaming performance.

Camera

The Sharp Aquos Zero 2 smartphone has a dual-camera setup, with a 12.2 MP wide-angle lens and a 20 MP ultrawide-angle lens. The wide-angle lens has Dual Pixel PDAF and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), which helps capture clear and stable photos even in low-light conditions or while in motion. The ultrawide-angle lens has Autofocus (AF) to help capture a wider field of view.

The camera also comes with features such as an LED flash to provide additional lighting in low-light conditions, HDR (High Dynamic Range) to capture more detail in bright and dark areas of the image, and panorama mode to capture wide-angle views.

The video recording capabilities of the Sharp Aquos Zero 2 camera include 4K resolution at 30 frames per second (fps) and 1080p resolution at 30 fps. Additionally, it comes with gyro-based Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS), which reduces the shakiness in videos caused by camera movement.

The front-facing selfie camera of the Sharp Aquos Zero 2 has an 8 MP resolution.

Memory

The Sharp Aquos Zero 2 smartphone does not have a memory card slot, so you cannot expand its storage capacity using an external memory card.

The phone has a massive internal storage capacity of 256GB, enough to store many photos, videos, and other media files. It also has 8GB of RAM, ensuring smooth and seamless multitasking, allowing you to run multiple apps simultaneously without lag.

Sound and Features

The Sharp Aquos Zero 2 smartphone has several features that enhance its functionality and usability.

It features a loudspeaker with stereo speakers that provide high-quality audio output. This is ideal for watching videos or listening to music without using headphones. The phone does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack, but it offers wireless audio options such as Bluetooth 5.0 with A2DP, LE, aptX HD, and aptX Adaptive, which allow for high-quality audio streaming without the need for wires.

The Sharp Aquos Zero 2 also features WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) capabilities, including Wi-Fi 802.11, dual-band, and Wi-Fi Direct. This enables users to connect to wireless networks for high-speed internet access and wireless file sharing.

The phone features advanced location-based services such as GPS (L1+L5), GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO, and QZSS. These features allow for accurate location tracking, making navigation and location-based apps useful.

The phone also has NFC (Near Field Communication) capabilities, which enable users to make contactless payments and share files with other NFC-enabled devices.

The phone has a USB Type-C 2.0 port, the industry standard for charging and data transfer. It also features several sensors, including a fingerprint sensor (under the display), an accelerometer, a gyro, a proximity sensor, and a compass. These sensors enable the phone to perform various functions, allowing for advanced features such as biometric authentication, motion sensing, and location-based services.

Battery

The Sharp Aquos Zero 2 smartphone has a non-removable Li-Ion battery with a capacity of 3130 mAh. The phone supports wired charging with PD2.0 (Power Delivery 2.0), a fast-charging technology that can provide up to 18W of power. This allows for quick charging times, so you can get back to using your phone faster.

The Sharp Aquos Zero 2 comes in a single colour option of blue, which gives it a unique and stylish appearance.

The price of the Sharp Aquos Zero 2 is approximately 670 EUR, which puts it in the mid-to-high range of smartphones in terms of pricing. This is reflective of the phone’s advanced features and capabilities, as well as its premium design and builds quality.
