Telit t800 Review

Early in 2006, the Telit t800 was announced; however, production was halted, and the phone was never made available for purchase. Its 91 gramme weight and 16.7 mm thickness indicated a lightweight and slender design. The gadget came with 64MB of internal storage that could be increased with a microSD card for more space.

Design and Display

The Telit t800 was a small and portable device with dimensions of 95 x 49 x 16.7 mm. It was 91 grammes in weight, which indicated a portable and lightweight design. At the time of its launch, the Mini-SIM card was the accepted size for SIM cards, hence the phone supported it.

The 256K colour TFT display of the Telit t800 offered a vivid and eye-catching viewing experience. A resolution of 176 × 220 pixels on the primary panel made for clean and clear pictures. The phone has a second CSTN display with 65K colours in addition to the primary one. This auxiliary display, which provided basic functions and information quickly, had a resolution of 96 × 96 pixels.

Camera

There was only one 2 MP (megapixel) camera on the Telit t800. Users of this camera could take pictures and, maybe, record movies, however, no information was provided on particular video capabilities. The camera had an LED flash, which improved image quality in low light.

Memory

A microSD card slot was included in the Telit t800, enabling users to increase the device’s storage capacity. It enabled photocall, allowing users to add photographs to their contacts for easier visual recognition, and had a phonebook capacity of up to 1000 entries. Up to 10 received, dialled, and missed calls may be stored in the phone’s call records function, giving consumers a history of recent phone activity.

The Telit t800’s internal storage was 64MB, giving users a constrained amount of room to store files, pictures, and other types of data. The Telit t800 provided 1000 photocall entries in its phonebook, expandable storage through a microSD card slot, and the potential to save up to 10 call recordings. It included 64MB of internal memory for keeping important documents and data.

Sound and Features

Users may personalise their incoming call notifications using the Telit t800’s support for a variety of alert kinds, including vibration and downloadable polyphonic, MP3, and AAC ringtones. The phone included a Bluetooth connection, which allowed wireless data transfer and interaction with other compatible devices. The phone included a proprietary USB connection for connecting to a computer or other approved devices and transmitting data between them. Users have a variety of messaging alternatives to choose from, including SMS (Short Message Service), EMS (Enhanced Messaging Service), and MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service).

Users of the Telit t800 were able to access basic internet surfing features thanks to the device’s WAP 2.0 browser. On the phone, there were games that users could play for enjoyment. Java, especially MIDP 2.0, was supported by the phone, enabling the download and usage of Java-based programmes and games.

An MP3/AAC/3GP player for playing multimedia files, eZi text input for quick and easy text entry, and an organiser to assist users keep track of their calendars and chores were introduced as additional features. For improved usefulness and amusement, the Telit t800 offered a variety of alert kinds, Bluetooth connectivity, proprietary USB, messaging options, a WAP 2.0 browser, games, Java, an MP3/AAC/3GP player, eZi text input, and an organiser.

Battery

An 860 mAh detachable Li-Ion battery supplied power to the Telit t800. This battery type gave the phone dependable power and was simple to swap out when necessary. Red was one of the colour options for the phone, giving it a bold and striking appearance.
