Design and Display

The Toshiba IS12T was a small and sleek device with measurements of 118 x 59 x 10.6 mm. Its 113-gramme weight suggested a lightweight construction. The Mini-SIM card, which was the typical SIM card size at the time of the phone’s debut, was supported. The IS12T was water resistant to an IPX8 standard, suggesting that it could tolerate submersion in water up to a specific depth.

The phone featured a 3.7-inch TFT display, giving it a respectable amount of screen space. The 480 x 800-pixel resolution provided a respectable degree of clarity and detail. The Toshiba IS12T had a small and sleek design, a Mini-SIM card slot, and IPX8 water resistance. It has a TFT display with a respectable viewing experience thanks to its reasonable size and resolution.

Processor

Operating on the Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5 Mango platform, the Toshiba IS12T offered a slick and effective user experience. The Qualcomm MSM8655 Snapdragon S2 chipset, which had a 1.0 GHz Scorpion CPU, served as the device’s engine. The performance of this CPU was enough for performing a variety of jobs and applications. The phone has an Adreno 205 GPU for graphics processing, which produced decent graphics rendering and enabled fluid images in games and multimedia content. The Toshiba IS12T offered a pleasurable user experience and competent performance because to its Windows Phone 7.5 Mango operating system and Qualcomm Snapdragon S2 processor, which has a 1.0 GHz Scorpion CPU and Adreno 205 GPU.

Camera

A single 13.2 MP autofocus (AF) camera on the Toshiba IS12T made it simple for customers to take high-resolution pictures. Better image quality was achieved because to the camera’s LED flash, which added extra lighting while it was dark outside.

Memory

The Toshiba IS12T lacked a card port for expandable storage, therefore users were unable to add a microSD card to enhance the device’s storage capacity. It did have a respectable 32GB of internal storage, though. The user may save personal data, including programmes, images, movies, and other information, on about 28GB of the 32GB of internal storage.

Sound and Features

Without the use of headphones, audio may be played back on the Toshiba IS12T thanks to its loudspeaker. Additionally, a 3.5mm socket was incorporated, enabling users to attach their chosen headphones or speakers for solitary listening. The phone enabled Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n for wireless networking, allowing users to connect to compatible Wi-Fi networks for internet access. The device has Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and EDR, enabling wireless data transfer and connection to other Bluetooth-enabled devices. The IS12T included GPS and A-GPS capabilities, which offered precise positioning and location services, to help with navigation.

Users may tune in to their preferred radio stations on the phone’s dual FM radio with RDS for amusement. The phone included a micro USB 2.0 connector for wired communication and data transmission. The proximity and accelerometer sensors found in the IS12T improved user experience by allowing functions like auto-rotation and automatic screen dimming.

The phone had a media player and could play back files in MP4, WMV9, AAC+, WAV, and MP3 for audio and video, respectively. The device also had a document viewer/editor that allowed users to read and change their documents while on the go. The IS12T also included Facebook integration, which made it simpler for customers to log into and utilise their Facebook accounts from their phones.

Battery

A detachable Li-Ion 1460 mAh battery supplied power to the Toshiba IS12T, making battery replacement simple for customers. The phone’s standby duration of up to 280 hours indicated that it had a respectable battery life when not in use. It offered a continuous speaking duration of almost 6 hours and 40 minutes.

Users have a range of aesthetically attractive alternatives thanks to the IS12T’s availability in colours including Citrus, Magenta, and Black in terms of aesthetics. The pricing of the phone, at 590 EUR, indicated a higher-end stance within its market sector.
