Last week, news spread that the Samsung smartphone’s Gaming Optimizing Service (GOS) slowed the performance of games and apps to manage better battery life. After that, Samsung announced a software update is on the way regarding the issue as an optional setting.
The update will enable the user to choose an option to do or not want to throttle. The reason to design this function is to limit the performance to keep the phone temperature down.
The spokesperson of Samsung Kelly Yeo said we value all our customers’ feedback and carefully consider it. Soon the user can control the performance while playing games after the software update.
